Join us for an afternoon on ocean monitoring at Sote Hub!
On June 17th from 14-16pm EAT, as part of the Our Ocean Conference activities, OPERA will co-host a capacity-building masterclass in partnership with Sote Hub, a leading blue economy incubation hub and training centre based in Mombasa, Kenya and the Early Career Ocean Professionals Programme (ECOP), Africa Node. The masterclass will serve as a pre-event to Sote Hub's official side event,

The Bahari Cocktail is a premium networking platform designed to foster collaboration across the blue economy sector. Moving away from formal speeches and structured presentations, the interactive two-hour session focuses on people, partnerships, and market opportunities, highlighting the collective action needed to build a resilient and sustainable global blue economy. Masterclass Objectives: 
The masterclass will be co-hosted by Sote Hub and the ECOP Programme, ECOP Africa Node and will focus on building capacity in ocean forecasting and ocean observation technologies. The 2–hour hybrid session (14h-16h) will be facilitated by representatives from OPERA, UN Ocean Decade and the ECOP Kenya Node.
