Bio

Jan-Bart Calewaert is the Lead Manager of the Decade Coordination Office for Ocean Data Sharing (UNESCO-IOC). Before that, he was the Head of the European Marine Observation and Data Network (EMODnet) Secretariat for 10 years after spending 6 years at the European Marine Board Secretariat. He has a background in bio-engineering and marine environment management from Ghent University and Free University of Brussels.
